Applications with Microsoft BI

The SQL Server Integration Services makes it possible for the database developer to retrieve, cleanse and transform data from different sources, and save it to a SQL Server database. Thereby, with the help of the SQL Server Analysis Services, OLAP Cubes are made available for particularly efficient queries.

Microsoft Excel, with the additional tool Power Pivot, not only enables Business Analysts in the company to analyse their own data on the desktop computer, but also the controlled access to company data in relational databases und cubes.

With the Reporting Services from Microsoft SQL Server, developers can compile reports and make them available to the user.

Microsoft SharePoint serves as a platform and information hub for the release and retrieval of standardised and individual reports which have been created with the help of the above mentioned tools. In dashboards, key business indicators can be clearly displayed and refer to detailed information.

Also included in the Analysis Services of SQL Server are Data-Mining functions for the generation of cluster analyses and predictive models.
