Software Engineering Know-how - Methods for functioning Systems

In order to develop acceptable software flexibly in an ever-changing environment, should one orientate the setting up of information systems to process models with fixed phases (such as the V-Model) or is the unbureaucratic agile software development better suited?

For our work, which is shaped by the requirements of different branches and through heterogeneous technical architectures, we combine agile methods with phase oriented process models as required and to customer demands.

Our primary objective is always the quality of the software systems and hence the orientation towards the customer requirements. Our guiding principle is that quality cannot be retrofitted, but rather should be planned from the outset with suitable processes. And that applies to agile processes as well as phase models.

Here the continuous development of our experts in important Software Engineering know-how, through external and internal training, helps:

  • Basics, such as the documentation of requirements, the design of software and testing at the different levels
  • Special models such as V-Model or Scrum
  • Industry-specific standards such as the computer software validation in the Life Science area or the MaRisk directives of the BaFin in the Banking and Insurance business
  • Methods of the Lifecycle Management, which from the onset particularly take into consideration, that business processes change and with that the required data and information
  • Knowledge of design patterns for the creation of object-oriented software.
