In close collaboration with the experts at trinamiX, HMS developed a modular software solution consisting of a universal mobile app that connects to the infrared detector device and a cloud backend that handles all the necessary data management tasks. In addition, an environment for operationalising the underlying machine learning models was set up and a user-friendly web-based customer portal was created.
The solution automatically transfers the sensor data from the device to the cloud backend via the mobile app. A scoring is then generated based on the respective sensor reading, enabling the user to gain insights in real time and take appropriate action. In addition, both the specific sensor data and the generated predictions can be analysed in detail via the user portal.

By combining the powerful capabilities of the proprietary NIR sensor and utilising the seamless scalability and flexibility of cloud computing, trinamiX has been able to expand the application area of NIR spectroscopy. The innovative mobile NIR solution has already contributed to significantly improve the processes of its customers in areas such as plastics recycling, agriculture, cosmetics and the chemical industry.
