The SDMX Lab: Your Browser-Based Environment for Learning & Teaching SDMX

Our SDMX team at HMS is happy to advise and support you on your journey
At HMS, we’ve developed the SDMX lab to make working with SDMX easier than ever, whether you're just starting out, training a team, or testing new tools. The lab offers a fully browser-based environment designed to remove technical barriers and get you straight to what matters: real, hands-on SDMX practice.
On this page, you’ll learn what the lab does, who it’s for, and how to get started.

What is the SDMX lab?

Key features and tools

The SDMX lab is a cloud-hosted workspace that gives you immediate access to the most relevant SDMX tools. It's pre-configured and ready to use.
The lab includes:
Yellow checkmark icon
Fusion Metadata Registry (FMR): create and validate SDMX metadata structures
Yellow checkmark icon
.Stat Suite: transform and disseminate data
Yellow checkmark icon
FusionXL: work with SDMX structures directly in Excel
Yellow checkmark icon
Public registry access: import live metadata for testing and exploration
Everything runs directly in your browser. There is no installation, no setup and no local configuration required. Each lab instance is private, resettable, and tailored to your needs. After a quick email request, you'll receive your dedicated Lab environment and be up and running within minutes.
