No, Code2X only needs access to your code. We can handle this either on your systems or in-house. All you need to do is provide us with the code as an archive.
Code2X automatically analyzes your codebase and identifies its scope, costs, and risks at an early stage. The analysis is based on abstract syntax trees and call graph analyses, ensuring that dependencies are captured in a structured manner. Reusable AI processes enable the efficient migration of even very large codebases containing thousands of files.

Under suitable conditions, with automation rates exceeding 90%. Each translation takes the specific target architecture into account, ensuring that the generated code integrates seamlessly into your system landscape.

At the same time, we design this target architecture so that the codebase can continue to be efficiently developed with AI even after migration.

If necessary, automated old-to-new comparisons and tests ensure functional equivalence. An integrated strategy system ensures that even special cases, such as proprietary frameworks or historically developed workarounds, are handled in a reproducible manner.

Technical documentation and translation logic are generated from the outset—a decisive advantage for auditing, compliance, and knowledge transfer.
Code2X does not store data in external clouds and only implements its own local data storage or services. For agent-based workflows, Code2X leverages customers’ existing LLM usage structures—such as the existing GitHub Copilot CLI integration.
